Philip Garrido : rear garden of serious sex offender left unchecked for 18years!

An unusually large number of sex offenders are situated in Antioch. The media reports. Every reason for the local authorities to have a procedure in place so that the population as a whole and young girls in particular have a duty of care and protection afforded them that ensures their safety. Phillip Garrido was regularly visited by his parole officer but even after all the complaints by neighbors made to police his backyard was never searched. It’s astounding. Are they expecting us to believe that the authorities, knowing they had such large numbers of sex offenders, never felt it necessary to put in place a system of monitoring that included examining the garden when the public reported hearing children in the backyard and that people were actually living in the back yard.

How could Jaycee and her children remain undiscovered for all that time?. Regular visits by the parole services to the house of Phillip Garrido never revealed Jaycee and her children held captive in the yard. What excuse will the parole office give? That Garrido had rights of privacy? If this is the reason given by the parole service as to why no examination was carried out. They haven’t put this forward yet. But I can hear it being muted in the background already!

The whole thing is shocking!

The authorities, we are told, are understaffed. The FBI, the Sherif’s dept and the Parole Services. And pray tell me the connection between being undermanned and with an officer from the parole office or the police searching the yard? The failure to check his garden and backyard when neighbors have reported hearing children’s voices in the backyard, that people were living in the backyard, has absolutely nothing to do with man hours, workload, underfunding or anything else that may be put forward as a reason why this appalling situation went undetected by the authorities for 18years.

I’m still reeling with disbelief and horror!. Those poor poor girls should never have had to endure those years of captivity. There was just no need.

What do you think?
