Background Check:exposed Garrido’horrific past

A Background Check on Phillip Garrido finally lead to Jaycee Lee Dugard being set free from eighteen years of incarceration and her two daughters gaining their freedom

Liza Campbell, special events manager at the University of California, Berkley, was accosted by Garrido with his two girls in tow. A discussion occurred regarding Garrido using a hall at the University for one of his events. She had another commitment, so she asked him to return the following day.

Garrido was elated, impassioned, and full of excitement about the function he wanted to organize. Garrido's two daughters ought have been at school. The girls claimed that both parents educated them at home. Alarmingly catatonic. Liza just felt there was something about the girls that wasn't right.

By chance Liza responded to her feelings that something wasn't right and ran a background check on Phillip Garrido. The statement came back and Liza ascertained that Garrido was a registered sex offender on parole for rape and kidnapping. At Liza’s request Police Officer ,Allison Jacobs, sat in on the subsequent meeting between Liza and Garrido.

Jacobs was on the lookout for anything unusual, particularly child abuse. Slowly Jacobs motherly instincts took over. Jacobs knew something was wrong. She was worried for these little girls. Reporting the meeting to Garrido’s parole officer and the presence of the two girls Jacobs couldn't have been prepared for the response. No one could be prepared for the astonishing reply. “Garrido doesn't have any daughters!”

Allison’s heart sank down to her stomach!

Just let us all take a deep breath and ponder this . How would you feel if your instincts told you that something wasn't right about a person? But this time you acted on your instincts, conducted a background check, cleared up an FBI case, solved a horrific crime, put that person in jail and freed that person’s captives.

We should all be so proud and grateful to Liza and Allison for acting on those protective motherly feelings.
