Liza Campbell, special events manager at the University of California, Berkley, was spoken to by Garrido with his two girls in tow. A talk took place regarding Garrido using a hall at the University for one of his events. She had another commitment, so she asked him to return the following day.
When talking over his function Garrido was enthusiastic and passionate . The girls should have been at school. His daughters claimed that both parents taught them at home.
