Phillip Garrido.Who’s Got Their Rights Wrong?

Phillip Garrido, on parole after a violent rape conviction and a registered sex offender, is accused of kidnapping Jaycee Lee Dugard in 1991. At 11 years old Jaycee’s torment began by her home in South Lake Tahoe, California when she was abducted by a women and dragged off in a car. Today Phillip and Nancy Garrido both refute the 29 felony charges leveled against them and await trial.

Phillip Garrido remains in custody at the El Dorado County Jail in Placerville, CA as he and his wife Nancy Garrido await trial. Bill Clark, chief assistant district attorney in El Dorado County, said Phillip Garrido can view TV and periodicals in jail and knows what's going on with his story.
We Now Come To The ‘Latest’ In The Phillip Garrido Case.

In an astonishing letter to Sacramento Television Station KCRA, Phillip Garrido complains that Jaycee Lee Dugard’s rights are being breached. These included her Rights of Free Speech and being repeatedly denied access to an attorney during questioning. Phillip Garrido requested them to contact Dugard at the earliest possible date.

Can you believe what you are reading?

So Garrido has the right to follow his story on TV and write to the media and thereby influence his case. By this I mean he can keep the nightmare alive for the Dugard family. Constantly putting his name in their front room. Someone in the family is bound to turn the TV on and hear of this letter. What right does he have to do this? What are we doing letting him?

What we are looking at here is Phillip Garrido’s rights. The prisoner’s rights. Liberals have given him the right to follow every stage of his saga as it is reported and unravels on TV. He has the freedom to communicate and give his views and opinions to the media. Putting his ideas on paper and posting them to KCRA. The KCRA company will spring at the chance to disclose its contents and Garrido knows this.

The Dugard family are bound to see it or hear about the letter and the nature of its contents.
What are the issues here? This boils down to Garrido’s right to perpetuate his exploitation of Jaycee and her family.

We’ve severely let down Jaycee Lee Dugard and her family over the last Eighteen years and we are still letting them down by not safeguarding them from this evil.

So I ask you who’s sick? Phillip Garrido for standing jointly accused of 29 felony charges, for writing this letter, or for us letting him?

What about our rights? Where do the rights of poor Jaycee and her family get considered? What about the victim’s rights? The right to be safeguarded from such beasts as Phillip Garrido!
