Jaycee Lee Dugard. We Let Down Her And Her Family Yet Again

Phillip Garrido, on parole after a rape conviction and a registered sex offender, is accused of kidnapping Jaycee Lee Dugard in 1991. At 11 years old Jaycee’s torment began outside her home in South Lake Tahoe, California when she was taken by a women and dragged off in a car. Altogether Garrido and his wife Nancy Garrido face 29 felony charges, including forcible abduction, rape and false imprisonment.

El Dorado County Jail in Placerville, CA detains Phillip Garrido pending his trial. Phillip Garrido is constantly up to date with the progress of his story in the media because he can view television and periodicals in Jail.

We Now Come To The ‘Latest’ In The Phillip Garrido Case.

Phillip Garrido sent a letter, postmarked September 29th, to Sacramento Television Station KCRA stating that Jaycee Lee Dugard’s civil rights had been abused. These included her Rights of Free Speech and being repeatedly denied access to an attorney during questioning. Phillip Garrido asked that they contact her at the soonest possible date.
Can you believe what you are reading?

So Garrido has the right to follow his story on TV and write to the media and thereby influence his case. By this I mean he can keep the nightmare alive for the Dugard family. Constantly putting his name in their front room. Someone in the family is bound to turn the TV on and hear of this letter. What right does he have to do this? What are we doing letting him?

What we are seeing here is Phillip Garrido’s civil rights. The convict’s rights. We have given him the right to follow every stage of his case as it is reported and is revealed on television. It appears he can discuss his case with the media via face to face interviews, telephone calls and by letter. Writing to KCRA and airing his ideas. He knows full well KCRA will reveal its contents to the public.

The Dugard family are bound to see it or hear about the letter and the nature of its contents.
Let us be very crystal clear about this. This pares down to Phillip Garrido’s right to continue his exploitation of Jaycee and her family.

The FBI, Police and Parole Services have all dismally failed Jaycee Lee Dugard and her family in the most appalling fashion over eighteen horrific years. We mustn’t let it continue a second longer.

So I ask you who’s sick? Phillip Garrido for standing jointly accused of 29 felony charges, for writing this letter, or for us letting him?

Do our rights count for anything? The civil rights of the Dugard family and poor Jaycee. What about the victim’s rights? What about our rights to protection from beasts like Garrido?
