Phillip Garrido, on parole after a rape conviction and a registered sex offender, is accused of kidnapping Jaycee Lee Dugard in 1991. Jaycee was snatched from a school bus stop within sight of her home in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Today Phillip and Nancy Garrido both deny the 29 felony charges leveled against them and await trial.
Phillip Garrido is in custody at the El Dorado County Jail in Placerville, CA as he and his wife Nancy Garrido await trial. Garrido is continually up to date with the progress of his story in the media because he can view television and periodicals in Jail.
We Now Come To The ‘Latest’ In The Phillip Garrido Case.
In an unbelievable letter to Sacramento Television Station KCRA, Phillip Garrido complains that Jaycee Lee Dugard’s rights are being abused. These included her Rights of Free Speech and being repeatedly denied access to an attorney during questioning. Garrido requested that they contact her at the soonest possible date.
Can you believe what you are reading?
So Garrido has the right to follow his story on TV and write to the media and thereby influence his case. By this I mean he can keep the nightmare alive for the Dugard family. Constantly putting his name in their front room. Someone in the family is bound to turn the TV on and hear of this letter. What right does he have to do this? What are we doing letting him?
What we are looking at here is Garrido’s civil rights. The prisoner’s rights. Garrido’s civil right to television and thereby keeping abreast with his saga. His civil right to communicate with the media. Putting his opinions on paper and posting them to KCRA. The Television company will jump at the chance to air its contents and Phillip Garrido knows this.
The Dugard family are going to see it or hear about the letter and the nature of its contents.
So what exactly are we dealing with here? It’s all about Phillip Garrido’s right to continue his abuse and torment of Jaycee Lee Dugard and the whole Dugard family.
The FBI, Police and Parole Services have all dismally failed Jaycee Lee Dugard and her family in the most miserable fashion over eighteen cruel years. We mustn’t allow it to continue a moment longer.
So I ask you who’s sick? Phillip Garrido for standing jointly accused of 29 felony charges, for writing this letter, or for us letting him?
Do our civil rights count at all? What about the rights of Jaycee Lee Dugard and her tragic family? What about the victim’s rights? We all have the right to insist on protection from scum like Garrido!
